Vernon Eugene Brewer

Vernon Eugene Brewer, age 47 of Hamilton passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 5:44 PM. He was born in Oxford on July 1, 1963 the son of Sherman and Mary Jane (Barnett) Brewer. Vernon was a self-employed mechanic, retiring in 2004.

He is survived by his devoted friend and companion of 23 years, Carol Bargar-Kinner of Hamilton; four children, Rebecca (Charles) Phelps of Hamilton, Matthew (Brittany) Stephens of New Miami, Brandy (Tim Colwell) Brewer and Nicholas Brewer, both of Hamilton; two brothers, David (Barbara) Brewer of London, Kentucky and Sherman (Katrina) Brewer of Hamilton; six sisters, Vivian (Gene) Vandeventer of North Carolina, Janet Haven of Hamilton, Mary Lou Feltner of Fairfield, Peggy (Sam) Hall of Trenton; Brenda Brewer and Jane Lynn (Brian Anderson) LeFevers, both of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, C.J., Jesse, Elijah, Peyton, Mason, Hayden, and Ryanne; three dear friends, John Worischeck, Jerome Cook, and Felix Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Jefferson Brewer and Earl Brewer; and two sisters, Dora Mae Leece and Joyce Collins.

Funeral service will be held at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Wendell Coning of Hamilton Dream Center officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
