Vernon Burns, Jr.

Vernon Burns, Jr., age 59 of Hamilton, passed peacefully on January 8, 2025. Known to most as Jr., he was a 1983 graduate of Talawanda High School and D. Russell Lee Vocational School. He worked many years at Pease Industries before retiring from Miami University. He loved fishing, survivalist prepping, golfing, bowling, reading, watching the Reds and going to Hamilton Joes games. Most of all, Jr. loved spending time with his family who loved and supported him always.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Rose (Farler) Burns. He is survived by his sisters, Julia (Robert) Baker of Reily, Shelia Burns of Hamilton, and Shari (Phillip) Allen of Darrtown; his nephew, Austin (Jessica) Baker; his nieces, Abby Baker, Amelia and Delaney Allen; his great niece and nephew, Elyse and Jackson Baker; and many cousins – his ‘first and forever friends’, as well as his aunts and uncles.

A private memorial service will be held by his family and close friends at a later date per his wishes.
