Victoria Mapel

Victoria Mapel, age 72 of Gratis, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. Known to most as Vicki, she was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 30, 1951 to the late Bobby and Josephine (Accorinti) Bowling. Vicki graduated from Badin High School, Class of 1970. Vicki completed her training to become a nurse’s aide and worked for many local nursing homes. Together with her husband Roger, they owned and managed The Country Market in Renfro Valley, Kentucky for many years. Vicki enjoyed traveling, spending time outdoors, going to auctions and hunting for antiques. At home, she enjoyed gardening and playing with her dog, Harper. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

Vicki is survived by her children, Joel Cassidy (Ray Scott), Eric Taylor, and Andrew Taylor; her grandchildren, Alexis (Zackary) Braden, Nathan Cassidy, Jared Cassidy, Erin Taylor, Jessie Taylor, Eric Taylor, Ann McCracken, and Sebastian Taylor; her great-grandchildren, Giovanni Nguyen, Maverick Braden, Winston Braden, Olivia Cassidy and Hunter Cassidy; her siblings, Stephanie Barnthouse, Bobby (Melissa) Bowling, Jeannette (Colin) Bullard, and Michael (Amy) Bowling; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Vicki was preceded in death by her late husband, Roger Franklin Mapel; her grandson, Michael Cassidy; and her brother-in-law, William Barnthouse.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Funeral service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery.
