Viola Baker, age 87 of Fairfield Township passed away at Butler County Care Facility on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 2:15 PM. She was born in Madison County, Kentucky on February 11, 1921 the daughter of Owen and Alice (Eversole) Hill. Viola was a past member of East Hamilton Baptist, and was active in all the church’s organizations. On September 8, 1937 in Liberty, Indiana she married William Baker, and he preceded her in death in 1980.
She is survived by one son, Eugene (Vivian) Baker of Middletown; one daughter, Alice Wyrick of Hamilton; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Hill; and two sisters, Della Weigel and Addie Harris.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 10:00 AM with David Stidham, Minister of Middletown Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
