Viola Pearl Barrett

Viola Pearl Barrett, age 50 of New Miami passed away at Ft. Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at 12:28 PM. She was born in Franklin, Ohio on August 15, 1957 the daughter of Charles and Alice (Dunken) Glenn. Viola was a homemaker and active member of Full Gospel Mission, where she served as a Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gary W. Barrett of New Miami; five sons, Albert Barrett of New Miami, Gary (Sheila) Barrett, Chris (Kristi) Barrett, Michael (Carla) Barrett, all of Hamilton, and Jason Barrett of New Miami; nine grandchildren; her stepmother, Dorothy Glenn of Hamilton; four brothers, Donnie Glenn and Ralph (Susan) Glenn, both of Middletown, Dan Glenn of Seaman, Ohio and Pete (Linda) Glenn of Adams County, Ohio; three sisters, Alice (Corky) Kelly of Adams County, Shirl (Jim) Albin of West Union, Ohio and Carol Glenn of Franklin; numerous nieces and nephews; and her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Gertrude Roberson of Full Gospel Mission officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
