Violet Hoagland

Violet Hoagland, age 84 of Hamilton passed away at Garden Manor on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 10:20 AM. She was born in Hamilton on August 31, 1923 the daughter of Taylor and Mary Belle (Sizemore) Asher. Violet was employed in the sales office at Champion International for 45 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church. On February 17, 1946 in Newport, Kentucky she married Robert Hoagland, who preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bella Donna Hoagland in 1947; three brothers, Roland, Marvin, and Elmer Asher; and three sisters, Lucille Tribbey, Marge Rowlette, and Mae Asher.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Rev. William C. Brantingham of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Friday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
