Violet Marie Sexton

Violet Marie Sexton, age 82 of Hamilton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 22, 2018.Violet was born in Garrard County, Kentucky on April 10, 1936 to Amos and Bertha (Adams) Powell. She was a member of Victory Pentecostal Church, lifelong Pentecostal Christian and enjoyed singing in the adult choir.

Violet is survived by her children, Bonnie (Tony) Webb, Sheila (Tim) King, Clint Helton; her step-daughters, Melody McKinney, Sue (Alvin) Wagers and Donna (Buddy) Mainous; her grandchildren, John (Allyson) Moore, David (Stephanie) Moore, Amanda (Justin) Weaver; her step-grandchildren, Kelley Wagers, Peggy (David) Babb, Cindy (Greg) Nieport, Kelly Helton, Michelle Helton, Alan (Lavonda) Helton Jr., Staci (David) Carpenter, Traci (Dwayne) Ramsey and Trina (Bill) Burger; her siblings, Clyde (Faye) Powell, Ronald (Christina) Powell, Brenda Powell and Verta Coffey; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; A special thank you to Kim Angel, Charlotte DePew, Jessica Pierce, Ruth Wagers, Edith Schweitzer and the Hospice caregivers, Sue Snodgrass and Ashley Stanback. Violet was preceded in death by her husbands, Clinton Helton and Leslie Sexton; her siblings, Lilly Hubbard, Carl Powell and James Powell; three step-children and her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Victory Pentecostal Tabernacle, 7460 Morris Rd, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 12:00 PM with Pastor Donald Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home 1350 Millville Ave Hamilton, OH 45013. www.browndawsonflick.com
