Virginia L. Levering

Virginia L. Levering, age 95 of Cincinnati passed away in Maple Knoll Village on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 6:00 PM. She was born in Piqua, Ohio on April 3, 1914 the daughter of L.D. and Catherine (Mott) Roberts. Virginia was a member of the Westwood Presbyterian Church, a very active member of the Maple Knoll Community for 20 years, and besides her love for family, her other passions were playing the piano and gardening. On August 7, 1934 in Piqua, Ohio she was married to Richard H. Levering, and he preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by one daughter, Ellen Gushurst of Hamilton; two grandchildren, Patti (Mark) Cruey of Hamilton and Chris Gushurst of Maple City, Michigan; five great-grandchildren, Amanda, Ricky, Brandon, Hunter, and Zachary; and two great-great-grandchildren, Skye and Alicia. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Theodore Roberts; and a son-in-law, David Gushurst in 2007.

Interment of cremains will be held at the Rose Hill Burial Park on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Joshua Long, Pastor of Westwood Presbyterian Church officiating. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel on the Green at Maple Knoll Village on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 1:30 PM with Chaplain Nancy Vilaboy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Music Fund of Westwood Presbyterian Church.
