Virginia Mae Mistler

Virginia Mae Mistler, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 3:15 AM. She was born in Hamilton on February 28, 1924 the daughter of Garrett and Amanda (McRoberts) Hall. Virginia was a member of the Washington Chapter Order of Eastern Star #195. In 1940 in Maysville, Kentucky she married Nicholas R. Mistler who preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by two children, Garrett (Gail) Mistler of Irvine, Kentucky and Brenda (Jim) Parker of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Gary (Terry) Mistler, Lisa (Scott) West, Nick (Jennifer) Mistler, and Tracy Parker; five great-grandchildren, Christina, Seth, Shea, Jet, and Zachery; two great-great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Haylee; brother-in-law, Lee Bowling of Hamilton; four nieces, Donna (Mike) Ramsey, Beverly (Roy) Curtis, Linda Houston, and Sandy Bowling; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Myrtle Bowling and Mildred Smith; half brother, Morris West; and brother-in-law, Robert Smith.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Shaun Campbell of Breaking Chains Ministries officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Our family would like to thank the staff of Fort Hamilton Hospital and Hospice of Cincinnati for the wonderful care that was provided. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer society or to Hospice of Cincinnati.
