Virginia E. "Ginny" (McCollom) Ross, age 92 of Camden, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 01:53PM. She was born in Miamisburg, OH on September 18, 1921 to Marvin and Hazel Blankenship. She attended Middletown High School. Virginia was employed at Champion International Paper Company for 33 years as a crane operator, and as a paper sorter/cutter. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, flowers, and baseball.
She is survived by one son Burt "Fuzzy"(Michelle) McCollom, of Cincinnati; step-son Scott Ross; and sister in law Judy (Marvin Jr.) Blankenship, as well as many nieces, nephews and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Ross, her parents; brothers, Leslie, Delmar, and Marvin Jr.; and sisters, Phyllis, Esther, and Estel.
Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11AM. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 10-11AM at the funeral home.
