Vivian New

Vivian New, age 80 of Hamilton passed away at her residence on Monday, May 14, 2012 at 9:05 AM. She was born in Cawood, Kentucky on May 30, 1931 the daughter of George Washington and Lena (Clem) Napier. Vivian was employed as an environmental services crew leader at Fort Hamilton Hospital. On October 20, 1947 in Cawood, Kentucky she married Billy Joe New.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe New of Hamilton; four daughters, Peggy (Roger) Lewis, Della (Paul) Hays, both of Hamilton, Sue (Mike) Davis of Lexington, Ohio, and Sandy (James) Noble of Hamilton; a sister, Ruby Spurlock of Cawood, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Dawn, Kim, Josh, Emily, Matthew, Mitchell, Rachael, and James; and six great-grandchildren, Kiera, Tess, Abby Jo, Paige, Kristen, and Gabriella, and special friends; Catherine New, Tom (Vicky) Kirk, and Chuck Boehm. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Billie Evelyn Wyatt; a grandson, Billy Sean Neace, five brothers; Bob, Carlo, Homer, Bowden, and Oscar Napier; and two sisters, Georgia Ritter, and Mabel Pace.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday May 17th 2012 at 12noon with Rev. Danny Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service at 12noon. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Christopher Meier, Hospice of Cincinnati and Vivian's nurse Kathy Fleig. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati.
