Walter Paul Sherry

Walter Paul Sherry, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Monday, April 3, 2023. Paul was born in New Cumberland, West Virginia on April 2, 1937 to George and Anna Belle Sherry. On April 7, 1961, he married the love of his life, Wanda Scott. Paul served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne. He retired from Steel Craft in Blue Ash, Ohio after many years. Paul enjoyed singing, playing guitar, mandolin, and banjo. He had a passion for skydiving. Paul was a member of Westgate Church of God. Above all, Paul was a devoted husband, father and PapPap.

Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda Sherry; his daughter, Dawn (Tyler) Fread; and his grandchildren, Megan Schmale and Camron Paul (Madison) Roberts. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Bob and Mary.

Visitation will be held at Westgate Church of God, 6017 Gaston Lane, Oxford, Ohio on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Clarence Brannon officiating.  Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans.
