Wanda Lee Bowling, age 72 of Oxford passed away at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 12:15 PM. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky on September 18, 1938 the daughter of Colson and Geneva (Rice) Allen.

She is survived by three children, Ronald Terry, Theresa Terry, both of Oxford, and Brian O. Terry of New York City, New York; devoted friend, Teresa Hardy, Michelle and Ashley; four brothers, Charlie (Bonnie) Allen of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Robert (Debbie) Allen of Corbin, Kentucky, Fred (Tammy) Allen of Sand Gap, Kentucky, and Edward (Heather) Allen of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; two sisters, Martha (Kenny Robbins) Lane of Annville, Kentucky and Waneta Powell of London, Kentucky; a brother-in-law, Archie Scalf of London, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, Krystal, Tyler, Jasmine, Cindy, Amber, Michael, T.J., Megan, Tiffany, Gregory, and Christopher; and a number of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rocky Bowling; her parents; two sons, Jamie Lee Terry in 2001 and Michael Wayne Terry in July 9, 2011; and a sister, Donna Sue Scalf.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Wanda’s nephew Rev. Christopher Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
