Wanda S. Isaacs

Wanda S. Isaacs, age 74 of Fairfield passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 5:39 PM. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on June 29, 1934 the daughter of Edward and Hettie (Ray) Poynter. Wanda was employed as an inspector at Monsanto Chemical Company for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and West Side Baptist Church. On June 5, 1961 in Hamilton she married Edgar J. Isaacs.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar J. Isaacs of Hamilton; four children, Lorenda (Dennis) Allen of Hamilton, Martina (Paul) Lunsford of Fairfield Township, Sheila (Bob) Shiflett of Oxford, and Duane Isaacs of Cincinnati; two brothers, Al (Mary) Poynter of Mason and Blaine (Brenda) Poynter of Crawfordsville, Indiana; two sisters, Jane (Carl) Adams of Fairfield and Elaine (Starlin) Smiley of Arizona; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Poynter and Leland Poynter.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Deane Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
