Wanda Ruth Italiano

Wanda Ruth Italiano, age 85 of Hamilton passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 8:45 AM. She was born in Miamisburg, Ohio on April 26, 1925 the daughter of Rev. T.J. and Member Elizabeth (Wells) Setser. Wanda was employed as a very popular cook at Fairfield City Schools, retiring in 1985. She was a very religious, caring, loving individual who valued her family and friends. On July 6, 1946 in Newport, Kentucky she married Stan Italiano.

She is survived by her husband, Stan Italiano of Hamilton; two sons, Michael (Jan) Italiano of Portland, Oregon and Anthony (Jill) Italiano of Ross; two grandsons, Sean Italiano of Fairfield and Phillip Italiano of Ross; a brother, Roy (Thelma) Setser of Fairfield Township; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James and Cecil Setser; and a sister, Virginia Akers.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or to Twinbrook Hill Baptist Church.
