Wes J. Vance

Wes J. Vance, age 92 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Wes was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 1, 1931. After graduating high school, Wes went to sea with the Merchant Marine, proudly serving from 1946 to 1950. After his time at sea, having sailed all over the world, he settled down in Hamilton, Ohio. He went to work at Western & Southern Insurance for many years as an agent before becoming an electrical technician at Hamilton Tool, where he would retire from in 1995. Being quite the handyman, he enjoyed remodeling and woodworking.

Wes leaves behind his loving wife and soulmate of 43 years, Diana (Gault) Vance; his daughters, Tina Vance and Bambi (Terry) Senger; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his special niece, Betty Ann Jones.

Wes is preceded in death by his parents, Sara and Eugene Stahl; his sons, Jack R. Vance and Jay W. Vance; and his sister, June (Vance) Matievich.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 1:00 PM until the time of his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH 45013. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton at a later date.

Memorial contributions in Wes’ memory make be gifted to the Hospice of Hamilton .
