Wesley Metcalf

Wesley Metcalf, age 78 of Hamilton, passed away at Christ Hospital on Thursday, July 3, 2025. He was born in Oneida, Kentucky on March 3, 1947 the son of Odus and Hazel (Powell) Metcalf. Wesley was a veteran of Vietnam with the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. He was employed in coating preparation at International Paper for more than thirty years, after his retirement he enjoyed working at Walmart. On November 13, 1965 in Hamilton he married Lucy Thomas.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Lucy Metcalf; two children, John Wesley Metcalf and Marla Lou Ann (Charles) Sandlin; four grandchildren, Tyler Metcalf, Alexis (Justin) Milbourn, Dakota Sandlin, and Jess Sandlin; one sister, Lucille Roark; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Christine Metcalf.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Tim Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
