Wilbert Harold "Willie" Offenbacher

April 1, 1922 — January 10, 2008

Wilbert Harold "Willie" Offenbacher, age 85 was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 10:54 PM. He was born in Newport, Kentucky on April 1, 1922 the only son of Edwin E. and Mary Ann (Steltenkamp) Offenbacher. A Navy veteran of World War II, Willie received both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was employed as a carpenter for Pease Woodworking from 1959 until his retirement in 1983. Willie was a member of the West Side Church of Christ and Queen City Dog Club. On September 2, 1950 in Cincinnati, he married Dolores Kathryn Clifton.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Dolores Offenbacher of Hamilton; many nieces and nephews, including Dolores Weber and Richard M. Clifton; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Joseph T. and Mary Margaret Clifton; and two sisters and a nephew.

Funeral service will be held at the West Side Church of Christ, 1190 Stahlheber Road, on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Minister Dan Knisley officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Cremation will follow.
