Willard Robbins

Willard Robbins, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. He was born in Fairfield Township on June 19, 1933 to William and Lelia (Watkins) Robbins. On March 20, 1963 in Louisville, Kentucky he married Lois Gay. Willard was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a police officer for the Hamilton Police Department before working at Champion Paper Company. Willard was a loving husband and a great father to his nine children.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Robbins; children, Gene Statzer; Greg (Chris) Robbins, Cheryl (Mike) Sizemore, Kevin (Karen) Statzer, Judy (Ralph) Hetterich, Scott(Sherry) Robbins, Randall (Belinda) Robbins, Rodney (Pele) Robbins, and Dwight "Jamie" (Melissa) Robbins; grandchildren, Ryan, Shauna, Danielle, Matt, Katie, Mark, Jillian, Angie, Julie, Gage, Ashley, Alex, Andrew, Drew, Wil, McKenzie, Maddie, Brittany, Cassie, Brooke, Joey, Zachary; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl (Katherine) Robbins; 2 sisters, Grace Plowman, and Rose Smith; special friends, Jim and Betty Campbell, Bob Ramsey, Merle Baynes, Tom Stubblefield, and Lonzo Weaver; a special neighbor, Mary Lou Sefton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Nolan, Cecil, Earl, and Shade Robbins; 2 sisters, Dorothy Barker, and Mary Anne Robbins; and his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at North Fairfield Baptist Church, 6853 Gilmore Road, on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 am with Rev. Paul Hurst officiating. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at the church. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Westover Retirement Community, and to Dr. Richards, nurse Shirley, and the staff at the OHC for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati in his honor.
