William H. Ashley

William H. Ashley, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Friday, February 27, 2015. He was born in Knot County, Kentucky on January 7, 1935 to John and Norma (Combs) Ashley. On September 10, 1955 he married Zola Hoskins. William worked at ARMCO Steel for 38 years and retired in 1992.

He is survived by his wife, Zola Ashley, children William H. Ashley (Dorothy),Doug Ashley (Teresa) and Darlene Christie (Sam); grandchildren Leah (Dan), Lauren (Brendan), Lindsay, Matt, Megan (Marty), Amanda, Neil, Samantha and William; great grandchildren Zoe and Owen; one brother, Jody (Joyce) and two sisters Betty (Lowell) and Norma (Charlie); and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Hobert, Herman, Jay and Silas and one sister Florence. The family would like to thank Dr. Krall and staff for their care and compassion for William.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Tuesday March 3, 2015, at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 10 AM until time of service (11 AM) at the funeral home.
