William “Billy” Whitaker, age 67 of Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 after a brief hospital stay. Billy was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 21, 1958 to Samuel Whitaker and Edna Whitaker-Davis. Billy graduated in 1977 from New Miami High School. Of his many interests, Billy loved BINGO and casinos, traveling, antiques, Tiffany lamps, music and fellowship. Billy met Skip in the spring of 1988, the beginning of their 38 year partnership. Billy was diagnosed with MS in 1990. Through the years, the progression slowly hindered his ability to work out, to dance, to play piano and to pull a one-armed bandit. He was a warrior in the fight. Skip fought alongside him.
Billy is survived by his life-long partner, Skip Badonsky; his mother, Edna Whitaker-Davis; his siblings, Daniel Whitaker, Jerry (Barb) Whitaker, Tammie (Rodney) Reiley, Tim (Pamela) Whitaker and Shane (Melissa) Whitaker; Skip’s siblings; Ed Badonsky, Fran B. Sansone (Danny Mausolf) and Elizabeth B. Schneider (David); his nephews, niece, great-nephew, great-nieces, cousins, extended family, life-long friends and his fur babies, Boomer and Cookie. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Whitaker; his step-father, Bill Davis; his in-laws, Ski and Pat Badonsky; and his brothers, Samuel “Wayne” Whitaker and Gary “Scott” Whitaker.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Larry Peters officiating. Billy will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions can be made to Animal Friends Humane Society, at www.animalfriendshs.org/donate/ or to the charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Billy’s team of home health aides, nurses, doctors and health care professionals. They were instrumental in his fight for a happy and extended life.
