William H. Chesnut

William H. Chesnut, age 86 of Hamilton, passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born in Tuttle, Kentucky on January 25, 1927 to John and Ninni (Humphleet) Chesnut. William was employed at Horn Lumber Company, retiring in 1986. He served in WWII in the United States Army, and was also a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing golf, singing and playing his guitar, and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathleen Chesnut; seven children, Gilbert, Jackie, Junior, Randy, Mitch, Russell, and Jamie, all of Florida; three stepchildren, William Ray, Brenda, and Debbie; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepson, Tommy; two brothers, Arthur and Leonard; and two sisters, Edith and Mildred.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., from 5-7PM, with the services immediately following at 7PM.
