William Edward Leugers, age 54 of Hamilton passed away at his residence on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 2:00 AM. He was born in Hamilton on February 28, 1956 the son of Robert J. and Edna R. (Rasnick) Leugers. William was employed as a welder at Fisher Body for ten years and more recently as the owner and operator of Shamrock Transport. On May 22, 1987 in Hamilton he married Kathy A. Hendrix.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy A. Leugers of Hamilton; four children, Steven (Amy) Smith, Lisa (Scott) Ritzie, Karyn Leugers, and Eric Leugers, all of Hamilton; his parents, Robert J. and Edna R. Leugers of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Jordan S. Ritzie, Seth B. Ritzie, and Leland K. Ritzie; four brothers, Robert J. (Dalene) Leugers of Toledo, Richard D. (Donna) Leugers of Fairfield, Stephen L. Leugers of Franklin, and David "Casey" (Connie) Leugers of Fairfield; two sisters, Donna J. (Mel) McFadden of Bonita Springs, Florida and Glenna Duncan of Hamilton; three sisters-in-law, Debbie (Anthony) Maita, Karen (Chris) French, and Becky (Brian) Dean, all of Hamilton; a devoted friend, Larry Wagers of Hamilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 224 Dayton Street, on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Thursday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
