William J. "Bill" Parsley

William J. "Bill" Parsley, age 82 of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Hospice of Hamilton. He was born October 10, 1929, in Oakley, Kentucky the son of Rollie Felix and Edith Pearl (Farmer) Parsley. William was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was employed as an engineer for CSX Railroad. He was a member of Washington Lodge #17 and Scottish Rite Lodge, and was a Kentucky Colonel. On December 9, 1952 he married Mary Hurst.

He is survived by his wife, Mary "Gert" Parsley; children, Terry Lynn Brackney, Tonia Borgemenke, and Craig Parsley; brothers, Dewayne (Beverly) Parsley and Leon (Sandra) Parsley; sisters-in-law, Janice Parsley and Anna Ebbing; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

Visitation will be 10am, until time of Memorial Service (11am), Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Brown-Dawson-Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, with Leon Parsley officiating.
