William Sagraves

William Allen Sagraves, age 67 of Hamilton, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Golden Years Nursing Center in Hamilton, OH. William was born in Grayson, Kentucky on December 11, 1949 to William Orville and Geraldean (nee Mullins) Sagraves, of Hitchins, Kentucky. On June 12, 1971, he married Dempsy Glancy at Hitchins Wesleyan Church. William retired from General Refractories. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

William is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dempsy Sagraves; his daughter, Valeria (Steve Sullivan) Baldwin; his parents, William Orville and Geraldean Sagraves; his grandchildren, John (Tricia) Baldwin and Stephanie Baldwin; his great grandsons, Brayden and Jacob Baldwin; his brothers, Woodford Russel (Debbie) Sagraves and Lindsey Burton (Tina) Sagraves; his sisters, Elizabeth Louise (Glen) Holbrook and Carrie Sue (Craig) Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other family and friends. William was preceded in death by his brother, James C. Sagraves, paternal grandparents, Myrtle Sue & John William Sagraves, his maternal grandparents, Carrie and Allard Mullins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio. Funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Vernon Williams officiating. Burial will be held in Hitchins, KY on Saturday, October 14, 2017.
