William E. Wagers

William E. Wagers, age 67 of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:05 AM. He was born in Hamilton on December 29, 1941 the son of Harlan and Rosa (Lawson) Wagers. William was employed by and then became owner and operator of George’s Furniture for more than 40 years, retiring in 2003. On December 8, 1962 in Hamilton he married Linda Jackson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Wagers of Hamilton; five children, Harlan Wagers of New Miami, Carmen Wagers of South Carolina, William E. (Carrie) Wagers II, David Wagers, and Kevin Wagers, all of Hamilton; three sisters, Mary Sue Ridenour of Hamilton, Nannie Cooper of Darrtown, and Margaret Creech of College Corner, Indiana; four grandchildren, Cassey, Lindsy, William, and Bobbie Jean; and a devoted friend, Pete Moore of Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Justin Wagers; two brothers, Sherman and Harlan Wagers; and two sisters, Eller Lungreen and Helen Wagers.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Everett Back of Seven Mile Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at the funeral home.
