William "Cody" Wooten

William "Cody" Wooten, age 23 of Oxford passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2010. He was born in Hamilton on September 19, 1986 the son of William D. and Joyce R. (Sweeney) Wooten. Cody was a 2004 graduate of Talawanda High School and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in December of 2005. He was employed as a diesel mechanic at Roadway for the past three years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed boating and fishing.

He is survived by his parents, William D. and Joyce R. Wooten of Oxford; a sister, Andrea N. Tucker and her husband Shawn of Hamilton; grandfather, James Wooten of Reily Township; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Beatrice Wooten, and Lester and Lorena Sweeney.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Minister Mark Taylor of University Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in Reily Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
