William Ray Wyatt

November 1, 1950 — November 12, 2018

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of William (Bill) Ray Wyatt, age 68 of Oxford, Ohio. He passed away peacefully at 10:25 pm, Monday, November 12, 2018 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 1, 1950 the son of Gilbert Sr. and Pearl (Bowling) Wyatt. He was a 1969 graduate of New Miami High School. On July 10, 1969, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Eileen Seeley and through perseverance, hard work, and God’s blessing they made their marriage work for 49 years.

Bill was employed as a welder at Mosler Safe Company for 20 years and was also a Corrections Officer at Lebanon Corrections Institute before he retired in 1996. He belonged to the National Rifle Association (NRA), was a Free Mason and a member of Talawanda Baptist Church.

Bill spent many years playing softball and he also coached baseball in Reily Township where he was able to coach both his son and daughter on the very same team. Anyone that knew Bill also knew he was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and loved boating. He had a genuine love for the outdoors. He made sure his children and grandchildren shared in the knowledge of this very same passion. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his beloved beagles over the years along with his favorite cat, "Chee".

He is survived by his wife, Eileen of 49 years, one daughter, Billie J. (Jeff) Sirn, and one son, Christopher R. (fiancé Tonya) Wyatt. Four grandchildren, Kaitlyn M. Fields, David A. Fields, Jacob R. Wyatt, and Everett R. Wyatt. One sister, Brenda Sue (Randy) Adcock, Two brothers, Ronnie Wyatt and Gilbert Jr (Marie "Cookie") Wyatt: and numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Charlie, Delbert, Beve and sisters; Rosetta George, Maggie Marcum, Cora Bessie Alley, Gail Keith, Zella (Sissy) Creasman, and Dorothy Isaac.

Bill will spend eternity with the Lord and his wishes were to have his ashes spread amongst his favorite lakes and woods that meant so much to him. Per his request, there will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill’s name to the Salvation Army and/or the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

On this Veteran’s Day he would have taken a moment out of his day to thank all of his family and friends who served their country. He did not have the opportunity to serve but was a proud patriot who loved his country and was always thankful for their service.

We want to thank the staff of the emergency room at Fort Hamilton Hospital, Buckeye Home Health and Hospice of Cincinnati along with the wonderful staff that assisted in quality of care in his final days.

The family suggests that you spend time with your children and family, teach them about God’s love, take long walks with your loved ones through God’s beautiful trails and make a toast to enduring friendships, lifelong and beyond. His last wishes were that we "tell my family and friends how much I love them and I will see them on the other side".
