William (Bill) C. Cobb

William (Bill) C. Cobb, age 82 of Lawrenceburg, IN passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 1, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 28, 1941 to General F. Cobb and Sarah W. (Tuttle) Cobb.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country from 1958-1961.  Bill was employed by Fisher Body and Honeywell, retiring in 2004.  On August 21, 1964, he married Virgie M. Baker, and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage together.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors working in his yard.  He also enjoyed reading, music, and sports.  He was an avid fan of Elvis Presley, UK Basketball, Ohio State Football, and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Virgie M. Cobb; his daughter, Leanne and her husband, Josh Sanders; his sister Carmalene Glover; four grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Caldon, Lindsay (Michael), Tyler (Faith), and Logan Sheehan; two step grandchildren, Madyson and Kenadie Sanders; four great grandchildren, Ellie, Easton, Jaxson, and Lane; and many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, General F. Cobb, Sarah W. Cobb, and his son Stephen D. Cobb.

A private funeral service will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park, 2421 Princeton Road, Hamilton, Ohio, on Monday, October  9, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to Loving Hearts Hospice and Palliative Care, 4109 North Dearborn Road, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025.
