William "Bill" Dean

William “Bill” Henry Dean went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at age 88 surrounded by his beloved family in Hamilton, Ohio. Bill was born on December 8th, 1935, in Hamilton, Ohio, and spent the majority of his life in the greater Cincinnati area.

Bill was an Army veteran who served in the United States military from 1958 - 1960. Following his time in the military, Bill’s career entailed a legacy of 41 years working at Ford Motor Company. He was also an avid bowler and lover of various sports, including golf. Bill loved the sunshine and enjoyed spending part of his retirement years vacationing in Florida with his family.

Bill will be remembered for his generosity to all who knew him. His loved ones ask that you remember his kind and compassionate spirit as well as his love for the Lord and his family.

Bill is survived by his wife, Janet (née Woods) Dean; his children, Cindy (Greg) Ledington, Richard (Paula) Dean, and Shawn (Tracy) Dean; his grandchildren, Jenna (Chris) Roberts, Cody (Ashley) Ledington, Jenelle (Tim) Baker, Danielle Dean, Brandon Dean, Madeline Dean, and Jeremy Dean; his great-grandchildren, Dominic Ledington, Emma Baker, Harper Baker, Joslynn Ledington, Walker Roberts, Ace Ledington, CJ Roberts and Lydia Roberts; one surviving sister, Jerrie Mae Sandlin; one surviving brother-in-law, Michael (Kim)  Woods; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his nine other siblings, Cora, Alice, Dora, Colson, Bob, Taylor, Gloria, Russell and Marvin.

Bill’s family would like to take the time to thank the team at Hospice of Southwest Ohio, especially Jody, Kim, Brandi, Aimee, and Kelly, for all of their care and empathy during Bill’s final days.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the funeral home.
