William E. "Peter" Dirr

William E. “Peter” Dirr, age 82 of Cincinnati, passed away at Triple Creek Retirement Community on Monday, August 8, 2022. Peter was born in Mount Healthy, Ohio on February 5, 1940. Peter graduated from Roger Bacon High School then attended University of Cincinnati. He retired after a successful career as an architect to enjoy his retirement golfing, fishing and carving. Peter volunteered with Hamilton County Parks and enjoyed all things outdoors. Peter is survived by his step-son, Ray (Britney) van Praag; his grandchildren, Christina (Rickie) Patterson, Daniel (Jackie) Grote, Austin Baer, William van Praag and McKenna van Praag; his great-grandchildren, Ava, Eli and Paige; and his beloved “Pokie”, Shari Wilt. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 30 years, Vera (nee Clift) Dirr; and his sisters, Jean (Frank) and Mary (Harley). The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
