Wilma J. Schlueter

Wilma J. Schlueter, age 68 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was born in Hyden, Kentucky on May 17, 1949 the daughter of Henry and Ruth (Pennington) Coots. On April 30, 1971 in Hamilton she married Tom Schlueter. Wilma was employed as a manager at JoAnn Fabrics for many years and then embroiderer at EAS Sportswear for ten years. She was a member of Calvary Christian Center for many years. Wilma loved to spend time at the lake house with her family in Cumberland, Kentucky.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Tom Schlueter; two children, Felicia (Jim) Sheffstall and Kenny (Candy) Schlueter; seven grandchildren, Crystal (Stephen) Wiggins, Ethan (Jaclyn) Schlueter, Corben Sheffstall, Abbie (Bruce) Burkes, Kayla (Josh Tribbey) Sheffstall, Christian Sheffstall, and Savannah Schlueter; five great grandchildren, Brayden, Owen, Miles, Isla, and Maverick; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Calvary Christian Center, 2355 Jacksonburg Road,on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 12:00 PM with Pastors Jim and Diane Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calvary Christian Center.
