Yolanda "Lonni" Arnold

Yolanda “Lonni” Arnold, age 81 of Hamilton, passed away at Bethesda Butler Hospital on Friday, February 18, 2022. Known to most as Lonni, she was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 29, 1941 to the late Lee and Mabel (Crank) Arnold. Lonni was a school bus driver for many years with Hamilton City Schools. She also drove a charter bus for many years. When she wasn’t behind the wheel, she enjoyed being outdoors. Lonni liked camping, fishing, and keeping up with her garden and yard. She was particularly proud of her numerous flowers that came back every year. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Lonni will be dearly missed by her daughters, Lynne (Dana Barnette) Schirmer and Pam (Randy) Root; her grandchildren, Cassandra, Amber, Joe, Donald, and Sally; a host of great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends. Lonni was preceded in death by her brothers, Nathan, Doyle and Merle; and her son, Charles Schirmer. At Lonni’s request, her body was donated to the advancement of medical science and the study of human anatomy. Her family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
