Yvonne Lesher

Carole Yvonne Lesher, age 92, passed on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Yvonne was born in Hamilton, OH on January 6, 1932, to Scott and Nannie Willis. She graduated from Seven Mile High School in 1950. On December 10, 1954, she married Don Lesher. They enjoyed almost 42 years of marriage until his passing on September 22, 1996. Reading her bible was very important to Yvonne and she delighted in discussing its various topics with fellow believers. Yvonne was a sports fan and she enjoyed watching her favorite sports teams, Ohio State and the Green Bay Packers and the University of Kentucky basketball. Yvonne loved spending time with her special neighborhood friends Anita, Joy and Wanda. She also looked forward to her daily conversations with her mail carrier friends John, Josh and Kayla, and receiving her weekly cards from her friend Ruth Ann. Family was important to Yvonne, and she was known for making the best apple pies and yeast rolls for their holiday gatherings. She was also the family seamstress for her many nieces and nephews.

Yvonne is missed and survived by her son, Mike (Sue) Lesher; daughter, Donna (Mark) McIntosh; the light of her life, grandson Alex (Aly) McIntosh; and sisters, Colleen McArty and Mallie Pendergrass. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Wayne Willis, Imogene Bowling and Marlene Fisher.

A joint funeral service will be held with her sister, Marlene, who passed away just hours before Yvonne, at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM with Pastors Jim and Diane Mullins of Calvary Church, and Pastor Scott Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Heather Serratos and Lynn Dunn of Hospice of Cincinnati for their care and support these past several months.
