Yvonne R. Shelton

Yvonne R. Shelton, age 64 of Hamilton, passed away peacefully after a long and hard battle with lymphoma on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Yvonne was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 8, 1957 to Robert Powell and Mary (Huesing) Powell. She graduated from Garfield High School, and later began working at Ohio Casualty (Liberty Mutual) where she worked for over 35 years. Yvonne enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, her dog Bella, and gardening.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Angela (Randy) Scarth, and Matthew Shelton; four grandchildren, Kinsley, Brooklyn, Jacob, and Brady; one brother, Mike (Linda) Powell; and numerous other relatives and friends. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dave Powell; and Dwight Shelton.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, April  8, 2022 at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Friday, April  8, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
