Yvonne Ortega Rosales

Yvonne Ortega Rosales, age 54 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Monday, April 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, advocacy, and unwavering dedication to others. Yvonne was born in Belvedere, California on July 9, 1970. Yvonne left California as she loved adventure and the unknown to provide a better life for herself and her daughter, traveling from Los Angeles, CA to Bluegrass, KY, then finding a home loving community in Hamilton, OH.

She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and advocate for the disabled, ensuring that every individual she encountered felt seen, valued, and included. She believed in the dignity of every person and fought tirelessly to create spaces where everyone belonged. Her patience knew no bounds, her kindness extended without hesitation, and her heart—so full of warmth—touched the lives of all who had the privilege to know her. Yvonne was a pillar of strength to her family, offering nurturing guidance, support, and, most importantly, unconditional love.

Yvonne will be dearly missed by her fiancé, Adam Higgason; her daughter, Megan Rosales; her siblings, Ana (Guy) Vidales, Mario (Gloria) Ortega, Moni (Sam) Herskowitz;

Her many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews to include Sammy (Nicky) Alba, Sammy Alba III, Sarah Robles, Braylon Hunter, Taylor (Cody) Robles, Leilani, Michael Ortega, Amanda Ortega, Eli & Dominic, Ashley Ortega, Ryan (Brittney) Valdiviez, and Abigail Herskowitz; as well as her Soul Sisters; Peggy Fung, Lisa Cannon, Margie Fussinger.

Yvonne will be reunited in Heaven with her parents, Ramona Galaz and William Galaz.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025 from 12:00 NOON until the time of her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio with Rev. Alan Weaver officiating.

We ask those who attend to wear shades of purple, her favorite color.
