Barbara J. Hounchell

Barbara J. Hounchell, age 84 of Middletown, passed away at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 25, 2022. She fought the good fight of faith and finished her race on this earth.  (2Timothy 4:7)  Barbara was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 28, 1937 to Clarence Bertsch and Grace (Watkins) Bertsch.  She was a loving and faithful wife of 67 years to Orven “Bowtie” Hounchell, Jr.  She worked as a nurse’s aide for several years for Butler County Care and she enjoyed helping people and continued to be a caregiver to family throughout her life. Barbara is survived by her children, Ricky (Rita) Hounchell, Maxaline (Danny) Murphy, Ann (Bruce) Bingle; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, Alma Hounchell and John P. Hounchell; and one grandson Charles Rose. Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Ken Angel officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
