Brett Mellott

Brett Mellott, age 29 of Morrow (formerly of Hamilton), passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Brett was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 20, 1992 to Jason Mellott and Lisa Mellott. Brett graduated from Fairfield High, Class of 2010 where he played football. He went on to a career in logistics management with the GTI Group. Brett was an enthusiastic wrestling fan and dedicated Ohio State fan. Brett enjoyed sports, video games, and many other things – but he loved being a dad and loved his daughter more than anything else.

Brett will be dearly missed by his daughter, Madison Renee Mellott; his best friend and mother of his daughter, Katie Bement; his parents, Jason (Wendi) Mellott and Lisa Mellott; his grandmothers, Sherron Mellott and Netha Smith; his aunts, Norma Sachenhiem, Kim (Fred) Gibson, Sherry Mellott, and Tracy Smith; his uncles, Steve (Darcey) Smith and Mark McBee; his close cousins, Corey (Katie), Brady (Emily), Niki (Adam), Viki, Thomas, Savannah, and Eli; as well as many extended family members and friends that were as close as family.

Brett was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Corky “Papaw” Mellott and Winton Smith; and his uncle, Winton Smith, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the time of his Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM at Princeton Pike Church of God, 6101 Princeton Glendale Road, Hamilton, Ohio. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
