Charlene Brown

Charlene Brown, age 66 of Hamilton, went home to be with the Lord at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, January 14, 2021. Charlene was born in Hamilton, Ohio on July 29, 1954 to Charles Murray and Goldie (Creech) Hartsock. 

Charlene spent her life loving her family, church and helping to bring precious little lives into this world. She touched the hearts of everyone she encountered with her sweet spirit and comforting touch. Charlene was married to the love of her life for 32 years. She lovingly covered her family in prayer multiple times a day and loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. The Lord was the most important thing in her life and her dedication to the works of her church made that evident. Charlene loved her career of 40 years in Labor and Delivery at Fort Hamilton Hospital. The joy she received from watching new moms hold their babies for the first time was something she never grew tired of. She was a true example of a Proverbs 31 woman.

Proverbs 31:28 “Her children shall rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.”

Charlene is survived by her loving husband, Jim D. Brown; her loving children, Tamara (Corey) Laubenstein,  Melissa (Kyle) Callahan, Kristin (Tyler) Pierce; grandchildren Brayden, Mason, Reagan and Lincoln ; her siblings, Steve (Penny)Murray, Ray (Sherrie)Hartsock, Madalyn (Bill) Skiles, Dena Ball. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Murray and Goldie Hartsock, step-father, Gene Hartsock and her son Jimmy Brown.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Winn of Twinbrook Hills Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
