Charlie Hurley, age 87 of New Miami, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Charlie was born in Disputanata, Kentucky on September 28, 1934 to the late Robert Henderson Hurley and Mary (Baker) Hurley. Charlie’s passion was restoring old trucks. Starting with what others would simply call junk, Charlie would pour his time and energy into bringing them back onto the road. He believed in working hard and making do with what you have. The only job he knew how to do was a good job his way. Above all, Charlie loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Berneita Hurley; his children, Jerry (Loretta) Hurley, Gary (Vanessa) Hurley, Regina (Larry) Mink, and Makayla (Randall) Young; his grandchildren, Monica, Tabitha, Larry, and Daisy; his great-grandchildren, Jamie, Landen, Miguel, Chelsey and Sarah; and a great-great-grandchild on the way, as well as his siblings, Dorothy Hurley, Jewell Anglin, Betty James, twins Loretta Keys & Lorena Hurley, and Raymond Hurley.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Coleman Hurley, and his sisters Maggie Carroll and Pearl Matuke.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio with Pastor Larry Mink officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
