Curtis Eldridge Sr.

Curtis Eldridge Sr., age 63 of Connersville, Indiana passed away at his residence on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 7:10 PM. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on April 28, 1948 the son of Dudley and Lillian (Owens) Eldridge. Curtis was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era from 1968 to 1970 and was employed as a mechanic at Pud’s Gulf Station, retiring in 1988. On November 2, 1991 in Hamilton he married Reba Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Eldridge of Connersville, Indiana; his mother, Lillian Eldridge of Hamilton; seven children, Curtis (Billie) Eldridge Jr. of Connersville, Cheryl S. Eldridge of Trenton, Craig M. Eldridge, Debbie (Arlee) Jones, both of Connersville, Everett L. (Robin) Hunter of Hamilton, Bonnie J. (Randy) Luke, and Betty D. Hunter, both of Connersville; a brother, Carl (Eureka) Eldridge of Amelia; two sisters, Joyce Welch of Hillsboro and Barbara (Jamie) Spicer of Hamilton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Dudley Eldridge.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Avenue, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Arnold Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in Butler County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM.
