Daniel "Dan" R. Newman

Daniel R. “Dan” Newman, age 62 of Hamilton OH, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, October 7, 2021.  He was born on November 18, 1958 in Dayton, OH to the late James R. Newman and the late Eleanor Keiser-Tucker.  After graduating Northwest High School (Cincinnati), he pursued an adventurous life in both work and play.  From a machinist at General Electric, to an over-the-road truck owner/operator to trucking administration, he found his niche and received his Nursing degree in 2007 so he could serve others as an Operating Room Nurse at The Jewish Hospital (Cincinnati).  He loved serving whether it was his family, his Power Source Ministries Church family in inner-city Hamilton, which he served as a bus driver for over 30 years, or serving complete strangers.  Dan also enjoyed telling jokes, riding motorcycles, playing the drums, and training as a Church Security Team member. 

Dan is survived by his beloved wife Patty; his son Dustin Newman; his step-daughter Stephanie (Matt) Hubbard; his son Isaac Newman; his most cherished grandchildren Nick, Braden, Preston, Julia, Jonathan and Caleb; his stepmother Patricia Newman (Springfield, OH); his sisters Rita (Jerry) Newman-Beaird (Trinity, TX), Tina Newman (Middletown, OH), and Teresa (Greg) Rose; and brother Edward (Alicia) Newman (Troy, OH); along with many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.  Dan is celebrating eternal life now with his brother Paul; his parents; his niece Krista; and The Great Cloud of Witnesses!

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Princeton Pike Church of God 6101 Princeton Glendale Road, Hamilton, Ohio.  Funeral service is on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Princeton Pike Church of God, followed by burial at Rose Hill Burial Park.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Power Source Ministries, 412 S. Front Street, Hamilton, OH 45011.
