He then moved to Columbus to attend college. During his time there, he attended both Ohio State University and Bliss Business School and enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves. Daniel went to work at Fernald, retiring 35 years later as the head of the inspection department. Daniel was an active member of St. Peter In Chains Catholic Church, where he would serve over 25 years as a volunteer helping with their Bingo program. He was also a leader with Boy Scout Troop 908.  After retirement, he and Jean enjoyed 20 plus years of winter vacationing in Gulf Shores, Alabama, playing cards and working in the garden.  Daniel will be remembered as a kind and caring man that loved spending time with his family.
