David Lee Johnson

David Lee Johnson, age 80 of Hamilton, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Thursday, November 16, 2023. David was born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 11, 1943, to Clifford Johnson and Edna Marie Lamb Johnson. David married the love of his life, Helen Johnson in July of 1962, and she preceded him in death in April of 2023. David and her owned Dee Jay's County Place for many years, and then went on to their rental property business. David was a devoted Christian and attended God's Temple where he was a retired minister and Youth Pastor.

David is survived by his daughters, Katherine (Michael) Williams and Karen (Bart Vogt) Johnson; grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Jones, Jackie (Justin Wethington) Johnson, Billie (David) Cagg, Rebecca (Chad Rhodis) Williams, Jessica (Mike) Lamb; great-grandchildren, Kenneth Wilson, Sydney Jones, Ashtyn Wethington, Preston Wethington, Macayla Cagg, Madison Cagg, Makinzie Cagg, Dalton (Hanna) Rhodis and Leslie (Stephen) White, Paige Lamb, Wyatt Lamb, and Brook Lamb; his sister, Shirley Johnson; brother in law, Arthur Ray (Pam) Crutcher; and brother, Roger (Karla Schmidt) Johnson. David is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jason Crutcher, Kenny (Erica) Crutcher, Teresa (Steve) Hampton, Delina (Dan) Stapleton, Bill (Crystal) Crutcher, and Katie (Jamie) Turco; as well as his friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Johnson and Edna Marie Lamb Johnson; and his loving wife Helen; father and mother in law, Charles and Nettie Crutcher; brother in laws, William (the late Doris) Crutcher and James (the late Beulah) Crutcher; and sister-in-law Carol Crutcher.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 330 Pershing Ave., Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Valerie McCann and Pastor Ron Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
