Doris M. Theiss

Doris M. Theiss, age 95 of Hamilton, passed away at Berkeley Square Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. Doris was born in Livingston, Texas on May 15, 1925 to A. O. McQueen and Maggie D. (Peters) McQueen.  On January 12, 1946 in Houston, Texas, she married Clarence “Eddie” Theiss, and he preceded her in death in 1995.  She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church her entire adult life. 

Doris is survived by her children; Dennis (Andrea) Theiss, Dave (Kathy) Theiss, Lisa (Greg) Brock; her grandchildren, Chris (Susan), Jamie, Travis (Laura), Brodie (Kristy), Brian (Renee), Kyle (Ashley), and Jennifer Theiss; 15 great grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Clark, from Jasper, Texas; her special friends, Loretta Poe and Sue Rumley. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, A. O. McQueen and Maggie D. McQueen; and her siblings, Virginia Wilkerson, Betty Jean Sumrall, and James McQueen. 

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Berkeley Square Health Care Center and Queen City Hospice. And a special thank you to Cynthia and Katie from Queen City Hospice.
