Evelyn Marie Huffman

Evelyn Marie Huffman, age 83 of Hamilton passed away at Mercy Hospital Fairfield on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 4:08 PM. She was born in Hamilton on February 20, 1925 the daughter of Aldon and Nannie (Reffitt) Lairson. On August 12, 1944 in Cincinnati, she married Donald L. Huffman Sr., and he preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by six children, Raymond (Dorothy) Huffman, Irma (Ron) Browning, Brenda Black, Donald (Candy) Huffman Jr., Eddie (Starr) Huffman, and Mark (Maddy) Huffman, all of Hamilton; fifteen grandchildren, Rachelle (Rick) Roether, Erik (Kendra) Meadows, Ray Huffman Jr., Tiffany Huffman, Erin (Frank) Sawyer, Madison Huffman, Stephanie (Jeff) Jared, Eddie (Gina) Black, Josh Huffman, Jessica (Mike) Cutlip, Kris Swain, Amber Swain, Hollie Huffman, Allie Huffman, and Joseph Herzog Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren; and was loved by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, L. Cpl. Samuel Huffman in Vietnam in 1966; two brothers, Raymond and Leonard Lairson; and a sister, Helen Durbin.

Funeral service will be held at the Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Avenue, on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Alex Mandura of Fairfield Wesleyan Church officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
