Hetty Kroon

Hetty Kroon, age 81 of Mason, passed away at Majestic Care of Cedar Village on Saturday, July 29, 2023. Hetty was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands on January 17, 1942 to the late Thys and Adriana Kroon. In 1960, Hetty married Gerald Harbron and together they moved to Gerald’s hometown of Hamilton and started a family together. They raised three children, Misty, Marcella, and Jerry. Hetty was a colorful character and had a passion for music. She was a renowned traveler, having visited many places over the years. She also enjoyed the outdoors, rather it was in a park with her dogs or on the back of a Harley Davidson. She lived a full life, having survived the second world war and Hunger Winter. Those that knew her will remember her unique and eccentric aspects and was truly a one-of-a-kind.

Hetty will be dearly missed by her children, Misty Hollifield and Jerry Harbron; her grandchildren, Michelle, Sarah, Chelsea, Cheyenne, Eyon, Meggan, Audrey, and Jarred; her great-grandchildren, Jada, Aiden, Isabelle, James, Jolan, Grayson, Xander, Arlo, and Atlas; her brothers Hank, Ben, and Rupp; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Hetty was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcella Reed; her sister, Ellie and her brother, Kas.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
