Jack Richard Conrad

Jack Richard Conrad, age 94 of Hamilton, passed away at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 8:55am. Jack was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 3, 1922 to Alva Conway and Norma (Beckmeir) Conway. He married Mary Lou Smith on May 18, 1946, who preceded him in death in 1977. Jack retired from building maintenance at Miami University in 1985. He was an exceptional photographer, musician, and faithfully attended the Wednesday afternoon dances at Partners In Prime. Jack, along with Harold "Bud" Parshall and Howard Toney, started up the radio station WOXR- Oxford Radio.

Jack is survived by his children Virginia Ellen (Donald) Hamilton, Phillip Arthur (Karen) Conrad, Rebecca Ann (Roger) Berger, Robert Lee Conrad, Sandra Jean (Ted) Marcum; daughter-in-law, Jane Ann Conrad; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; oldest son David Lawrence Conrad; his siblings, Douglas Hughes and Janelle Wagner; and his grandson Anthony Conrad.

Funeral service will be held at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave, Hamilton, Ohio, on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home.
