James F. Freeman Jr., age 93 of Hamilton, passed away at Wellspring Health Care Center on Monday, August 15, 2022. James was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 20, 1928 to James F. Freeman Sr. and Mary Evelyn (Maloney) Freeman. Jim grew up in Lawrenceburg Indiana where he married Doris Jean Burris on May 2, 1953. Jim served in Korea on board the USS Philippine Sea aircraft carrier. He enjoyed coaching pee-wee football, watching the Cincinnati Bengals and playing golf.
James is survived by his loving wife Doris, their daughter Ellie (Bryan) Watkins, daughter-in-law, Robbi-ann Freeman, grandchildren; Lisa-ann (Mike) Fontanetta, James (Sarah) Freeman IV and Bradley (Erin) Watkins. And 6 great grandchildren; Pace, John, Elle, Piper, Olivia and Scarlett. James was preceded in death by his parents, son James Freeman III, George Burris Jr. and dear friends Bo and Mary Lansing.
Jim lived a long fun life filled with love and laughter. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Animal Friends Humane Society Hamilton, OH or the Alzheimer’s Association of Cincinnati.
A celebration of life visitation will be held on October 1st, 2022 at Eden Park Senior Apartments Community Room, 1740 Eden Park Dr. Hamilton, OH 45013, from 3:00PM to 3:30PM with a memorial service to follow.
Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at Greendale Cemetery in Greendale, Indiana.
