James Dean Johnson, age 57 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021. James, known to most as Jim, was born in Ironton, Ohio on May 30, 1964 to Brenda (Arthurs) and the late James E. Johnson. Jim was a proud graduate of New Miami High School, Class of 1982. After high school, Jim went to work for Champion Paper Mill in Hamilton. Later, he went on to work for Pepsico Americas, retiring in June of 2020. Jim was a member and Past Master (2007) of the Benjamin Franklin Masonic Lodge, #719. He was also a member of the Washington Chapter #195 of the Order of Eastern Star and the Imperial Court #34, Order of the Amaranth in Middletown.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Michele Johnson; his children, Jimmy (Jordan) Johnson and Jennifer Johnson; his mother, Brenda Johnson; his grandchildren, Julia & Jamie Johnson and Garrett Barnett; his brother, Mike Johnson; his father-in-law and friend, David Anglin; as well as many extended family members and close friends, too numerous to list.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON at Brown Dawson Flick Funeral Home Funeral, 1350 Millville Ave., Hamilton, OH, with Gary Arthurs officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park.
